E-cloths: A review and a contest!

About six weeks ago, I discovered the world of microfiber cloths. These aren't any cloths. Somewhere I read that they are microfiber on steroids! I follow Myecloth.com on Facebook, and they offered free product in exchange for reviews and/or blog posts.

Several years ago, our Tucker was diagnosed with asthma.
How could I use toxic cleaners with a face like this?
I eliminated many cleaners from the house, but did not think I could remove them all. With e-cloths, I've come pretty close. I now mostly use water and e-cloths to clean nearly everything.

This is the kitchen cloth. It measures about 11.5" x 11.5" square. The upper right corner is a mesh (scratch free) scrubber. Only the kitchen cloth has this scrubber; the other cloths do not.

What is amazing about this cloth is that it removes bacteria from surfaces with just water. The Myecloth website has some videos and information if you'd like to learn more.

Benny has his own feeding platform. I just need to wet the cloth with water and wipe down the counter every day, keeping it clean and sanitary. Any food crumbs or hair get picked up by the cloth.

One of my favorite uses for the e-cloth is cleaning up, um, cat pukes.
Here is a photo of a dried puke (I hate finding these, argh).

With a little scrubbing with a wet cloth, the stain disappears. I used no carpet cleaners!

After use, just rinse the cloth with warm water and let air dry. They are also machine washable and dryable (but do NOT use bleach or fabric softeners, as they affect the cloth's performance).

Myecloth also sells many other cleaning products, including one of my other favorites, a polishing cloth. Benny would not let me get a photo without him on it. A fun bonus; these come in fun colors like hot pink.
The polishing cloths have changed how I clean windows. I dampen them slightly and wipe windows clean--no Windex or paper towels needed. It is like magic, really. No streaking--and you can use them on any glass (my car windows are going to stay much cleaner now)!

Myecloth has generously offered a contest. The winner will receive a $10 gift certificate to spend at myecloth.com!  To be entered, post a comment here and/or share this post on Facebook. I will pick a winner on May 23. Please include an email or a way to contact you if you are the winner.

Check out their website or friend them on Facebook. Their Facebook page has fun cleaning tips and special offers and contests.

Disclaimer: I did not receive monetary compensation for this review. However, I will receive two free e-cloth products in exchange for the blog post.

Cool. I've just started experimenting with microfiber cloths, after getting a few Norwex brand ones. Have to admit, I hadn't thought to use these in lieu of paper towels for, umm, cat-related carpet cleaning. Will have to keep that in mind.

I was just given a e-cloth polishing cloth for my birthday and I a in LOVE! Seriously - my windows, mirrors, stainless steel and granite are super shiney with just water. Not exactly sure how it's possible - but my relationship with Windex is over! (A friend sells Norwex and these are like the same thing but less expensive)

I've had e-cloths for a couple months now and love them (so far just the regular professional cloths and polishing cloths)!! BUT, I'd never thought of using them on the cat puke spots!! I'm getting more and more of them now that the weather is warm and my kitties are going out more, eating a bunch of grass and then coming in to puke it back up for me. I'm sure it's a sign of affection or something...you know cats ;) Oh yeah, and you said you need an email in case I am the WINNER (fingers crossed) - artemis_68 {at} hotmail {dot} com [hopefully that will keep the spammers at bay...]

I'm going to let my sister know about the cat puke. That's something SHE deals with regularly. She's the cat lover in our family. Please don't hate me - I'm more of a dog person;).

I just wanted to add that the General Purpose e-cloth works really well DRY as a duster. e-cloth also has some amazing dusting cloths but if you can only afford 1, go for the General Purpose since it's so great either wet or dry.

I was a norwex consultant until recently. LOVED their products but hated the price and was so happy to find e-cloth. I've posted a few reviews of e-cloth and norwex on my blog if anyone is interested.
