Now that's a pumpkin!

I recently visited my parents. My mom said she had only one pumpkin in her garden, and asked if I'd like it. I said yes. She cautioned me that it was very large.

I thought she was kidding, but she was not! Based on the 40 pound bags of litter we buy, I estimate it weighs about 45 pounds!

I haven't decided if I'm going to decorate it or leave it plain.

That's a HUGE pumpkin! Is the "meat" inside too woody to cook up? I'm salivating at the thought of pumpkin pie, pumpkin loaf, pumpkin anything. :-)

BTW, what did your mom put on as fertilizer? LOL.

Wow, that is some pumpkin! Although I'd prefer to see a turkey about that size.

Wow, now I know where you inherited your green thumb. That's a mighty good looking pumpkin. Hope you don't have squirrels in your area.

Whoa, that is quite a pumpkin! It looks pretty cool, though... are you going to carve it and/or make pie out of it?
