A special ornament, and a weight update

Soon after Tucker's return, a co-worker gave me a Hallmark ornament. He suggested putting a photo of Tucker it it to commemorate his return. I really liked idea, and it has a special place on our tree this year.

Tucker has stalled in his weight gain, and was down one ounce. He is getting fed four times per day (two full meals and two smaller meals). If anyone has thoughts about this, I'm all ears. (He eats wet food only.)

I thought I would show you my "high tech" system of tracking his weight, hee.

I wouldn't worry about the one ounce unless it becomes a pattern. You might have just caught him after an.. um.. emptying mode. ;) Try again in a day or two?
Love the ornament!

Impressive high tech system. Almost like marking your child's height on a doorframe.

Hmm, dare you supplement the wet food with some freeze dried raw? (visions of him 'stealing' a sample years ago while the visiting humans were oblivious)

I would not worry about his weight either. Maybe try giving him some dark meat chicken? It has more calories than white and it's an awesome treat!

That's SUPER high-tech. Plus, it involves a box. Nothin' beats a box. Boxes are great.

I am not very "crafty." I have never made a "personalized" cat ornament, but it has given me pause for reflection.

We love that ornament! And honestly, we wouldn't worry too much about Tucker's weight. He's gained most of it back and we bet he'll gain some more.

Love the ornament, how sweet! I'm going to have to check out Hallmark, it would be neat to have my kitties on the tree (without them climbing it!)

I have to agree I wouldn't worry much about an ounce. It could be the time of day (before a meal/after a bathroom break) that caused the difference. If he continues to lose ground then it may be something to worry about.

I bet the cats love the box even when it's not on the scale!

Such a cute ornament and great use of technology!

Tucker is still looking good and he'll be back to his normal weight soon. He has such a hearty appetite.

what works best isn't always high tech.. that is perfect..

Some foods are higher in calories than other, so ounce for ounce you get more bang for your buck if you will.

I also agree with the 'empty mode'
