Tucker vet update

The vet removed about 100 ml of fluid from our boy's chest. With my permission, he's sending the fluid out for lab testing. We're not sure we'll get an answer from the lab, but it can't hurt to try.

He also got a Lasix (sp) injection. I had asked the vet about that this morning, and he said it may help, but given that the fluid is *around* the lungs instead of in the lungs, he wasn't positive it would help.

He is in the oxygen tent now and will be monitored. I hope to take him home after work.

The scary thing is that we don't know when this may come back. . .

I'm just catching up on the news about Tucker now and sending LOTS of purrs to him, and to you!

Hopefully it won't ever come back, but I know realistically it is possible. But now you know it is happening, you can hopefully mitigate some of the symptoms of it.. maybe it will come back slow enough that regular trips to remove it will be a possibility..
