Is Ringo "channeling" Tucker?

I can't tell you why I drove to the shelter that particular day. "Something" told me to stop by, and by the end of the following day, Jim and I were bringing Ringo home.

Since we've adopted Ringo, we've noticed similarities to things Tucker used to do. For instance, I leave for work early in the morning. Tucker used to howl after I'd leave. . .now Ringo does the same thing.

Until near the end of his life, Tucker routinely brought things to bed (usually after I was asleep). Now Ringo does that too.

Ringo has taken to sleeping in nearly the exact same spot in bed--near my head--as Tucker did.

Tucker was my morning alarm clock, and now guess who is waking me up shortly before my alarm?

Tucker used to take Jim's chair when he got up, especially in the kitchen. When Ringo did this recently, we could not believe our eyes:

What did I do?

Lastly, Tucker used to mount Benny from time to time. Now Ringo is doing that to Benny. . .[though I realize this can be a sign of dominance]

Does this mean anything, or is it all coincidence? Jim has joked the Ringo is "channeling" Tucker. It makes me wonder if Tucker "told" me to find Ringo. I wasn't sure I believed in these things until now, but it makes me wonder.

Have any of you experienced this? I'm interested in your responses.

I don't think you'll ever know for sure. Both Nicki and Derry do things that Chum and Annie did, but in my case, I think that's just coincidence. That said, Tucker's spirit certainly could be communicating with Ringo! :-)

In any case, it's nice to think that a bit of Tucker lives on in Ringo.

Purrs and peace from the boys.

I can't say I've experienced this firsthand, but the universe works in mysterious ways. And sometimes pets know just what we need.

interesting....we haven't had it happen but think it is possible

Who knows? This has not happened here - I am a very different kitty from Sparkle. We do have some similarities in behavior and meow, but it's more characteristics of our breed than specific things like at your house.

Rupert and Angel Dusty are so much alike in mannerisms and quirks it's eerie...I like to think that Dusty is still getting love when Rupert gets his pettings.

Wow, that is so amazing. I think our beloved babies who have crossed over the Rainbow Bridge always want us to know they are still with us and will give us signs. I find that so very comforting.

I haven't had it happen, but then I've not gotten another cat since the first three passed on.

If it is Tucker coming through Ringo, I think it's sweet!

We've not have that happen but we think some cats pick on routine or lack of needed routine in a household. We think Tucker is whispering to Ringo who is trying to pass those sweet nothings on to you. Purrs...

I believe it does happen! Based on what you've said in the blog it sounds like tucker sent Ringo to you. And I've seen it happen with people I know, care about and respect. So I am very happy for you

I could have written this... in fact I think I did last December when I introduced Annabelle. I wasn't looking for another cat. But something made me stop and look at the cats in Petsmart that day which is NOT something I normally did. And there she was a MANX. I firmly believe and it can't be proven that Abby had a paw in leading me to Annabelle. They are completely different cats, but i think she knew that we needed a passive kitty to fit in with the seniors.

Hmmm. Just how do you think I got Mommy to come see me? My angel sister brandi, that's who! And helped me mesmerize my mommy and take me home with her? Yup. She insisted mommy take her home when Mommy wasn't even looking for another cat, and we both insisted mommy take ME home.
Funny how that works, huh?

have you considered contacting an animal communicator and 'talking' to Ringo
