Seed planting time, 2015 edition

To answer questions about yesterday's Omni-Grid mat: it is a cutting mat for any fabric. I suppose it was made for quilting, but I don't quilt, so I'll use it to cut pieces of fabric for small projects. It also has a measuring grid on it, which is handy to measure shorter lengths of ribbon.

Longtime visitors might remember that every year I start seeds indoors. It was time to start them again. I fully expected Ringo to be curious, and while he sort of was, he didn't stick around long.
This is ok. but I'd rather catch a FLY!
Sadie was the one who could not get enough smells.
Oh boy, oh boy! Soil!

I'm trying marigolds indoor this year, and Sadie smelled the seed pod.

Last year, I tested Sadie with the seedlings, and she passed. However, I'm not sure I can trust Ringo this year. Stay tuned. . .

We hope there will be some catnip seeds!

That is great she passed the seedling test, I doubt any of mine would. Lucy always wants to chew on the seed packages so I have to hide them because the seeds are coated with something pink.

Maybe my human should plant some marigolds among my catnip - I hear they protect the catnip.

Good luck with the seedlings. Mom bean say no way would that work at our house. We love to eat anything fresh and green!

In my childhood, the problem was the heat tapes and lights attracting Miss Daisy, more than the plants themselves. Good luck with the ongoing test.
