There's a new cat in town

About a month ago, Jim said he saw a Siamese-like cat in the neighborhood. A week ago, I started seeing him every day. He isn't feral and was most likely owned, but his ragged fur says he's been outdoors for a while. He's wary but won't come too close.

He appears to be an un-neutered male (given what I can see now). I am hoping to gain his trust and catch him--at the very least to see if he has a microchip. I've checked with the local shelters' reported lost cats and I couldn't find anything even close. Why would someone abandon such a beautiful animal? :-(

These photos aren't great, but they are the best I could do. I'm going out to him every day, talking to him and tossing treats. Here's hoping. . .

PS Please excuse the neighbor's crummy truck. :-/

Our money is on you that you will be gaining his trust in no time!

Poor sweetheart. But ditto, we think with sufficient treats and food, you'll be able to gain his trust and get him. Paws crossed for him and tons and tons of purrs.

Poor guy. I hope you are able to get close to him soon, although I'm sure you will, as you are the Cat Whisperer. :-)

Sad if he's "sorta" owned which is what it sounds like.
He'll appreciate the regular meals and begin to trust

Thank you so much for feeding this poor little guy. I think he has already adopted you and Jim. Hope you can trap him and find out if he has an owner.
