More progress for Sadie

On Sunday evening, I was surprised to find Sadie asleep in a room that was NOT the bedroom--the craft room (formerly Lucy's room)!

Then Lucy came into the room. Her expression changed, but she stayed put.
What's this?
I don't really like this cat, but I'm pretty cozy here. . .
Lucy is in the end of the tunnel.

Sadie stayed a little while, only getting annoyed and leaving when Lucy started to play. Sadie has been going in to all of the rooms upstairs now, but has not ventured downstairs yet. Very slowly, she is making progress....

As for Lucy, you might remember that she had a skin problem. We ruled out everything medical but she was still overgrooming her back legs to the point of being raw. After talking with our vet and other cat friends, we ordered Jackson Galaxy's Spirit Essences (Obsession blend, made for animals overgrooming.) While she still is overgrooming some, both Jim and I have noticed that she seems more balanced and a bit calmer. We're also hoping that settling into our routine is helping. Crossing our fingers.

I am glad Sadie is finally getting used to Lucy. I need to try that Jackson Galaxy stuff for Prancie, she does the same thing- seems to be a orange female thing.

Might be stress and might be medical for that overgrooming thing. Like your new theme but I didn't have my sunglasses on when I clicked over! :)

all progress is good - sounds like Sadie is going about reclaiming her space (even if she has to avoid the orange intruder to do it). we may have to check out the essence for Mo

Sadie, you are such a good girl. You will find that Lucy is not a bad kitty and is not out to steal your humans!

Both Lucy and Sadie will need time, and lots of love!

It can take a long time for cats to become accustomed to one another. Purrs that Sadie continues to make progress.

Good for you Sadie! It isn't always easy to get used to new members of the household. Especially a younger, friskier one.

Hope the essences help Lucy overcome her obsession.
