A new dinner guest

Blackie has a pretty regular routine of coming for food now.

But recently, a new cat has been coming to dine (off and on).

This is one of Lucy's offspring, so he's about a year old. Jim named him Diamond. He isn't truly feral, but he is wary and nervous. He is also un-neutered, so my goal in time is to have him come regularly enough that I can get him in for neutering. He is very thin and given his body condition, it's clear he's living an outdoor life.

We were told Lucy had five kittens, but he is the only one we've seen.

Good luck with Mr. Diamond

What a handsome boy. It breaks my heart to see cats struggling to survive on the street through no fault of their own. All cats deserve a loving home.

Nice to see them getting a regular healthy meal.

Oh! My drop trap would work perfectly for your patio! It takes up some room, but it's 100% effective...if you don't wuss out. I set it up a week or two before the scheduled low-cost spay/neuter clinic appointment, and let the cat(s) get used to going in and out for meals. Then on the day of...I drop it, and nab the cats! Am so glad The Hubby built that drop trap for me, and I have two of the silent, humane traps too. Good luck with Diamond!

Hopefully, in time, he'll tell the others where they can find food - providing that they are still alive.
