Chewy.com review: Purina Pro True Nature Classic chicken/turkey food #chewyinfluencer

Our second review this month is for Purina Pro Plan True Nature food, chicken and turkey flavor.

We chose this food because it seemed similar to our "standby" food, which is Fancy Feast classics chicken.  I compared ingredients, and it seems that the Purina actually has slightly better ingredients (though I wish they didn't include Carrageenan).

Purina: Turkey, Chicken, Liver, Water Sufficient For Processing, Meat By-Products, Natural Flavor, Guar Gum, Potassium Chloride, Taurine, Salt, Carrageenan, Choline Chloride, Vitamin E Supplement, Mono And Dicalcium Phosphate, Thiamine Mononitrate, Zinc Sulfate, Ferrous Sulfate, Niacin, Calcium Pantothenate, Vitamin A Supplement, Copper Sulfate, Menadione Sodium Bisulfite Complex (Source Of Vitamin K Activity), Manganese Sulfate, Pyridoxine Hydrochloride, Riboflavin Supplement, Vitamin B-12 Supplement, Biotin, Folic Acid, Vitamin D-3 Supplement, And Potassium Iodide

Fancy Feast: Chicken, Poultry Broth, Liver, Meat By-Products, Fish, Artificial and Natural Flavors, Tricalcium Phosphate, Guar Gum, Added Color, Salt, Minerals [Potassium Chloride, Magnesium Sulfate, Zinc Sulfate, Ferrous Sulfate, Copper Sulfate, Manganese Sulfate, Potassium Iodide], Taurine, Vitamins [Thiamine Mononitrate (Vitamin B-1), Vitamin E Supplement, Niacin (Vitamin B-3), Calcium Pantothenate (Vitamin B-5), Vitamin A Supplement, Menadione Sodium Bisulfite Complex (Vitamin K), Pyridoxine Hydrochloride (Vitamin B-6), Riboflavin Supplement (Vitamin B-2), Vitamin B-12 Supplement, Biotin (Vitamin B-7), Folic Acid (Vitamin B-9), Vitamin D-3 Supplement], Sodium Nitrite (to Promote Color Retention). D-6672.

In addition, Purina states that this food is made in the USA and does not contain artificial colors or flavors, neither of which is mentioned for Fancy Feast.

The food is a pate, similar to the FF pate.

In all, three out of four cats liked it. Ringo walked up and ate a bite, but then left.
I'm not fooled, Mom.
All in all, it was a success. If your cats like Fancy Feast or pates, give this a try. It is nice to have a food that doesn't include vegetables/herbs/green stuff that the cats will eat.

Disclaimer: We were given some food in exchange for an honest review. The opinions here are our own.

If the kitties will eat it, then it's good!

Three out of four paws up is not bad. Ringo, we are surprised you didn't like it.

Emmy loves pate, I will have to get her some of this. Everyone else prefers gravy.

TW almost ordered this for me but I've been such a picky eater, she's afraid I won't eat anything new.

I do wish more companies would not use Carrageenan
