What a week it's been

I've had a stressful and emotional two weeks at work. Three people I worked with were laid off from work--and I had worked with them all at least 20 years. One guy in particular was my favorite person and had the office right across from me. Lots of tears were shed.

In addition, my workload and supervisor are changing, so big things are ahead in the coming months. It is difficult but I know there are also new opportunities for me too.

Lucy seems to know when I'm upset and will stay nearby. In fact, she sometimes "chases off" the other cats to protect me. Pets are so wonderful that way and bring us so much comfort.

I will forge ahead and try to stay positive.

Am sorry to hear about the upheaval at your office. I've been on both sides of that; laid-off, or staying and watching the others leave. It shakes us to our core, because it's a mourning and full of grief. Lucy is a good, sweet kitty! Poor Chucky got a UTI during one of my lay-offs; he sensed my distress and processed it internally...making himself sick!
I wish I had words of wisdom to give you, but you'll find your own level, and allow yourself to breathe and recognize your emotions. We aren't machines, after all. Good luck.

Good to see Lucy is keeping an eye on you. Hugs and prayers to go with her purrs.

That's sad that the people at work lost their jobs. :-(

So sad for your co-workers who lost their jobs. I know first hand how stressful it is to lose a job. When I got laid off nine years ago, don't know what I would have done without Laila and Minchie. Such a great girl Lucy is!

Very sad about your coworkers. Lucy is a sweetie, some cats do sense how we feel.
