Thrifty Thursday: Garfield picture


Today's post features an embroidery given to me from our friend Susan:


She said she found it at a Goodwill. She primarily bought it as a gag, but I actually find it charming. Someone took the time to freehand a drawing of Garfield and even embroidered the receipt's name on it (Holly in lavender thread).

I immediately thought of another 1980s Garfield embroidery I own, made by my paternal grandmother:

This hangs in my craft room. I am not sure, but I think she traced a drawing and made her own pattern. My grandfather made the wood frame.
