The new cat bed

My parents gave us a cat bed for Christmas. I put it under the cat tree and waited. I never saw anyone in it, but there were layers of fur building up on the inside, so I knew it was being used.

Finally, I spotted Lucy inside!

I have since spotted Ringo inside during the night.

The things I have to put up with

I love the expressions on Benny's face as Ringo grooms him.

She knows what she wants

Sometimes, Lucy wants attention and jumps up for attention, even if it's right near my face.

I love the sunbeams from inside

This is Lucy. My mom loves to take photos of me in the sunbeams. I sure love the sunbeams, and I love them even more on the inside!

Thrifty Thursday: Cat stuff

This week I have a selection of cat-themed items. First, I was surprised to find these freeze-dried cat treats (salmon and chicken), new in the bags for .87 each!

I bought this Garfield book for my nephew (10). It's from 1994.

And third, I could not resist this cute tea towel for .50. The tag on it suggests it's vintage, perhaps 1970s? It reminded me of those tall plastic bottles of bubble bath they used to sell.

Lucy and Ringo were on the bed and their tails wrapped together. Cute!

You Ate What?! #71

#71 is sugar cookies!

(Yes, they are in an out-of-season Halloween bag.) First, I caught Lucy chewing on the bag. I'd set them aside to put out for the critters. . when Benny started chewing on the bag!

Sugar cookies = cat attractant?

A new routine

Ringo has long loved the Cat Catcher toy (a mouse on a wire). He carries it all around the house.

A new routine is that, when I go to bed, he will bring the mouse, drop it on my head, and rest on my pillow.

What? It's a great routine, mom.

Ringo in the sunbeam

There he was, happy in the sunbeam on the bed.

Mom? Uh, mom?

You're blocking the sunbeam.

Sadie on my lap

Sometimes I'll grab Sadie and put her on my lap. She often growls for a bit, but rarely ever leaves and settles in for a snooze.

I actually love the attention. I just don't want my mom to think that. Hee.

I like this new storage cube

I bought a storage cube for my niece's upcoming birthday (she doesn't read this blog). It has the "two sided" sequins. I drew a heart into the sequins to show the two colors.

Ringo was fascinated by the sequins. He stood on it, smelled them, and tried to bite the sequins.

MOM, do you need to share everything we do?

Chewy.com review: Weruva Cats in the Kitchen variety pack #chewyinfluencer

This month's review is of Weruva canned food, Cats in the Kitchen variety pack.

This 12-pack of food contains four flavors:

Funk in the Trunk (chicken with pumpkin)

Chicken Frick 'A Zee (chicken)

Kitty Gone Wild (wild salmon)

Lamb Burgini (lamb)

The package says the food contains no grains, gluten, potatoes, GMO ingredients, MSG or carrageenan.

It was nice to see the actual meat source/pieces in each can. The food also had little odor, which is nice too.

Our gang doesn't like pumpkin, so I didn't try the "Funk in the Trunk" variety, which is chicken with pumpkin.

We had mixed results with this food.

Sadie liked everything but the lamb.

Benny licked some of the chicken but didn't each much of it.

Ringo liked just the salmon.

Lucy liked them all.

If your cat is an adventurous eater, I suggest trying this food. If your cat is picky or doesn't care for shredded/chunky food, I suggest choosing something else.

For many years, Tucker was my crochet buddy. Now Benny has taken on that role.

This is Ringo. I found a new way to lounge on top of the microwave. My mom didn't think it looked very comfortable.

Loving the sunbeams

Lucy loves the sunbeams. And they sure love her too.

Sleeping in dad's chair

This is Sadie. I decided to stay in the living room, buried in some blankets on my dad's chair. It sure was cozy.

Mom, it would be MORE cozy if I could go back to sleep!

Sharing a lap again

This is Ringo. I'm sharing my mom's lap again, with Lucy.

Lucy doesn't mind sharing. . .

. .even if I sit right on top of her!
