Carving pumpkins 2012

Tucker knew it was time. I'd brought in the pumpkin the night before so it could warm up. He started rubbing his chin on it periodically. As soon as I set up the area, he was there.
All right! Let's carve this thing. Don't worry, mom, I'll be careful of the knife.
He was started licking the stem as soon as I'd cut it open. I did let him have a few bites of pumpkin guts, which he just loves.
Score! Pumpkin guts!

You might remember that I carve a cat-themed pumpkin each year. Here is this year's pumpkin before it was lit up.

And outdoors:

See some pumpkins from other years:
2011 and 2010
And don't forget to watch Sadie sneaking some pumpkin seeds!

  1. That pumpkin is amazing! Did you use a template and draw it on, or just draw the outline free hand? Can't believe how creative and talented you are. With Tucker's help, of course. :-)

  2. I used a template I found online, and used a tool to punch the design on the pumpkin before cutting it out. If anyone knows of any cat-themed designs, I'd love to have a link. I'm running out of new ones. :-)

  4. Excellent assistance by Tucker! Though, I'm not sure pumpkin guts sounds like that good of a treat/payment.
