We ordered an urn from Perfect Memories, and it was large enough to include a few small items in addition to his ashes. I chose three things:
The pink turtle toy was one of the first toys he had as a kitten. I kept it for no particular reason, and thought of it recently as an item from his early life. The pink yarn ball, given to us by our friend Amy, was his absolute favorite toy for a number of years. He'd carry it around the house, caterwauling or bringing it into bed. (We had him cremated with his second-favorite yarn ball.) The birthday boy medallion was given to us by our friend Connie for this 16th birthday.
I wrapped these in a special handkerchief and put them inside the urn.
We also ordered a paw print from the pet cemetery:
There are tiny bits of his fur in the clay. I will treasure this.
