Little Free Libraries

My friend Amy first told me of this trend. Little libraries are popping up around the nation. You build a storage container, fill it with books, register it online here, and let people enjoy. I've now found two on my side of town.

This one is about 1.5 miles from our house. It's quite new and was full of books.

This one has been in place for a long time. So long, in fact, that the door is starting to fall apart. What I thought was cool was that it was in front of the food pantry, right on the bus line.

I added two books to each library, but as you can see the food pantry one was nearly empty.  It's an easy bike ride away (about 2.5 miles) so I can easily drop off more books in the future.
