Roadtrip with Ringo #4

Here we go again!

Ringo had another vet visit, to get his final kitten vaccines.
Here I go!
The windows in the waiting room were open, and there was a shrub full of birds. Ringo was fascinated.

I'm a big kitty and sat on the scale by myself.
The visit was mostly good news. He is growing, he's now parasite free (we had a small bout of giardia), his heart and chest are clear. The bad news: he has an ear infection in one ear, and unfortunately had some side effects to the vaccines the following day. We will no longer vaccinate him as a precaution.* However, with some antihistimine and TLC, we got him through and he's now back to normal.

* When Benny was a young cat, he had a bad reaction to a vaccine, requiring a trip to the emergency vet. We've since stopped giving him vaccines because of this, and will do the same with Ringo.

I'm sorry about the reaction, but I'm so glad he's feeling better!

Also: Kitty feet! His little paw is so cute!

I have had lots of cats have reactions to vaccines. So I don't do them any more either. That is a good idea. Glad you are feeling better Ringo. You all have a great day.

I'm glad Ringo's better! I hear Binga had a bad reaction to vaccines. Fortunately, I haven't because as a therapy cat, I think I will have to stay up to date on them!

I love how Ringo's eyes get so big when he is fascinated with something. I'm glad he got a pretty good report and he'll beat that ear infection under your loving care.

Ringo is getting to be a big boy, isn't he?! Alice had a bad reaction to her last round of vaccines as well. . . I wasn't too pleased. We're sending healing purrs for his sweet little ear!

Glad his vet visit went well! We aren't big on vaccines in our house either, so we understand. Good thing he is feeling better!

Way to go, Ringo!
Kitty explorer and brave enough to venture onto the vet's scales.
Hope everything is right with you soon.
