Today marks Memorial Day in the United States. We have a large American flag that hangs out year round, but we also add smaller flags in the front yard and in the front flower box for patriotic holidays.
I made a special patriotic skirt for our outdoor goose too.
We honor our service people, past and present to allow us to have the freedoms we enjoy today.

Here in Canada, we remember the fallen on Remembrance Day which is your Veteran's Day, I believe. But it wouldn't hurt us to do some rememberin' today, too, even if it's not a holiday weekend here.
