In memory of Berries

At the bottom of this blog, you'll see a dedication to Berries. Who was she? She was my childhood cat. I think of her often this time of year. She died in January of 2006 at the ripe old age of 19. These are the last photos I took of her in November 2005, with my nephew Jacob. As you can see, she loved Jacob and was not afraid of a five-year-old. I love the way she is looking at Jacob in the last photo; she looks so content.
I love all of my pets, past and present, but Berries has a very special place in my heart. I miss you, Mid.

Awww, what a beautiful cat. She looks nothing like my last cat; he was black. But the way she is looking at your nephew makes me remember how lovely it is to have a cat. Now I miss mine, too. ;) Thanks for sharing this.
