Integrating into the household

 Ringo and Lucy have made amazing progress with Jules in just 5 days. This morning, I took this adorable photo of the three of them.

Is there hissing? Of course. But Jules seems to respect the other cats when they hiss and either backs away or just goes to do something else.

I downloaded a fishing game for cats, and he was playing it last night. The squee factor was pretty high!

Ringo was alternating grooming Lucy and Benny.  I love that Lucy had her head raised, looking for licks.

The bed is the place to be

On a Sunday afternoon, three cats think the bed is a good place to sleep.

When I sit down, I immediately have some kitties near me.

Lucy eventually joined us too. Life is good.

Watching Antiques Roadshow

One of my favorite television shows is the Antiques Roadshow on PBS. It made me smile to see that three cats joined me while I watched a new episode.

A Christmas miracle

Later on Christmas day, both Sadie and Lucy sat on my legs.

Then Benny came up too, so I had Jim take a photo.

This was the best Christmas gift of all!

Christmas celebrations

This is a little late. . .

It is rare that we are home for a holiday. Most of the time, we are out of town and/or traveling. This year, because of Jim's work schedule, we traveled to his family early and were home for Christmas. Oh boy, did the kitties have fun! Even Lucy, who isn't really into boxes, had to check things out. And Benny was the first cat who jumped into a box.

Fall cuddle season has arrived

After a hot summer, the weather turned cool quickly. The cats immediately resumed their cooler-weather positions. I hope to share lots more cuddling photos.

What happens when you go away for the weekend

I hadn't left town for a weekend in many months. Jim said that Lucy especially missed me. I came home and sat down. . and was unable to get up for a while.
