Thread on wooden spools

I love wooden thread spools. Recently, I found a sack of them at a thrift store for $3.
I got 14 wood spools, plus about a dozen others. Please indulge me as I share my find.

Close ups of some of my favorites of the bunch.

I think your find is great!

My mum's sewing basket (you know the big old fashioned kind) used to fascinate me as a little girl. All brightly coloured threads, spools, silver thimbles and the lid was lined with satin...it was a treasure trove

Pretty.

And they'll make brilliant cat toys once you use the thread? :-)

Those are so cool--My grandma used to have those!

Why can't we be friends?

Now that Sadie is feeling better, she's become a pest when we eat dinner. She was trying to get to my dinner plate, when Lucy jumped up...
