Tucker: one year later

I can't believe it's been one year since Tucker was diagnosed with cancer. He had a checkup last night and, overall, things went well.

Benny was curious why the other cats were in the carriers.

Tucker did lose some weight, about 10 ounces. The vet thinks it's due to loss of muscle mass from aging, but we had a blood panel ordered just in case. We also took another chest x-ray and good news came back from that. The cancer went from 1.2cm to 1.3 cm (in six months' time). Here is a photo of the x-ray.

The vet could not see any new nodules or growths.

Sadie had an exam too and I had blood drawn for a panel on her.
I had it easy compared to the other cat. I'm hanging out until we can go home.
PLEASE let me back in that carrier!!
We thank every one of you for your support. We are thrilled Tucker is doing so well and I am thankful he will spend another Christmas with us. I will update you when I hear back about the bloodwork.

UPDATE: The vet called about the bloodwork. Her words were "everything is perfect. I like what I'm seeing here." Tucker will go in for a re-check in six months. :-)

That's great that both cats are doing well--and especially good that Tucker's cancer has barely progressed.

And congrats on the new computer!
