Today is a special day. Twelve years ago today, Tucker came into my life. It was a tough time for me; my then-husband suddenly decided he no longer wanted to be married and I found my marriage dissolving.
I moved into my own apartment and decided I wanted a cat. My BIL's grandmother had one stray kitten left from a litter, and my sister and brother-in-law drove him down for me. The first time I held him, he tucked his head into my arm, so Tucker became his name.
He and I have been through a lot. I can't believe he's been with me for 12 years. He is our most devoted kitty, and loves Jim and I, is ok with Benny, and barely tolerates Sadie. But we wouldn't have him any other way.
The photo is one of Tucker at about six months old. He was four months when I adopted him.
