Some Tucker updates

Tucker got his first thorough brushing since going missing in November. I didn't want to stress him while he was so thin, and then obviously not when he felt sick with FLUTD. He was NOT happy about the brushing, but given that he's sitting on my lap as I type this now, I think all is forgiven.

He's gained a little more weight, now at 13 lb 2 oz. He's nearly at his "pre-escape" weight.

I've had some questions about his diet. Right now, I am mixing half canned and half raw together. I feed grain-free canned, like Evo and Blue. Because fish can be an allergen, I'm avoiding fish flavors. The raw I use is Nature's Variety Instinct. For now, I am using chicken. (I tried duck and he vomited it horribly all over the house. . .) So far, things are going well and he has not resisted the change. His energy levels have improved and (bonus) his stools are more firm and less stinky. I hope this is a good solution for him.

All is right with my world.

Good for you, Tucker! Our mom doesn't like to give us fish things either and that's okay with us as long as we have fishy toys to play with! Purrs...

I am so glad that Tucker is doing so well - too bad he does not like brushing. I LOVE it! My human brought home some Nature's Variety to try out for Binga and Boodie (and me, if I am not too picky!). She would like us to eat as well as possible!

Glad to see he is coming along. Can you email me more info about corn silk? I'd be interested in trying it for Miss Pea. Thanks!

We're glad Tucker is doing better. We eat half canned, half raw too...'cept for Zoey who gets all canned. She vomits the raw food for some reason. We use Stella & Chewy's freeze dried raw.
