One week

It's been one week since Tucker has been gone. It's been surreal and sad. Please excuse the random-ness to come in this post.

First, thanks to Ann of Zoolatry for designing the new blog banner. Ordinarily, I design most of my graphics, but I could not face it right now. Ann did a beautiful job in just a few days.

Second, thanks to everyone for the support and love. Thanks to those who have sent cards, emails, or messages. Each one has been appreciated.

Last night, I had a random thought--Tucker died eight months to the day after I found him on that cold November months. We had eight "bonus" months with him, months that I treasure.

I had these photos scheduled but then remove the post. . .but realized that I want to share them. They were taken just a few weeks ago on the porch couch, a place where Tucker loved to relax (preferably with a person). It's how I want to remember him.

Right now I know it is still raw but I hope you do continue to share Tucker with us. He will always be a big part of your heart and I'll bet you still have many photos of him you haven't posted. It is just a thought, but I love the way over at Eric and Flynn's that every Friday it's all about remembering Eric. Those are beautiful pictures of Tucker you posted today, and Ann's banner is just perfect. ♥

The new header is beautiful. I'm sure there will be a lot of randomness for you while you're adjusting to life without Tucker's physical presence. So don't worry about it. We miss Tucker too and we are all here for you.

Thank you for sharing about Tucker. The photos are lovely. It's a good reminder for me, too. I need to remember Lucy the way she was and not focus on the last bit when she was unwell. It's hard, though.
Your header is lovely.
Sending you thoughts and gentle kitty head bops.
