Tucker had turned 16 on July 4, and on a whim, I bought him a small birthday cake and lit candles. When I showed him the cake all lit up, he had the most wonderous look on his face.
I had no idea he would not live too much longer, and am so glad I did this. Sometimes, it's the spontaneous things that make the best memories.
