We had Thanksgiving a little early at our house, thanks to Chewy! We are reviewing Merrick's Purrfect Bistro food in Thanksgiving Day flavor.
We received the 3.3 oz cans, but they are available on 5 oz cans if you prefer. There are other flavors of the Bistro line too.
The good: Grain free, meat is the first three ingredients
The not-so-good: Contains things like cranberry, potato, and sweet potato
It was interesting that the first can I opened had an interesting "hole" in the middle of it. It was curious and I've never seen this in a canned food before.
While the label said this was a "minced" food, it is more like a pate. There are some chunkier bits compared to a pate but it was mostly a ground food. You could see tiny bits of pea and carrot. The bowl below shows the food forked into a bowl.
We have three cats, each with slightly different preferences. How would they like the food.
You will notice that Ringo's food is on the floor. He is odd with his food at times and won't eat out of a bowl. He hesitated but did eat it.
So we are three for three--an uncommon event at our house. We are pleased. I have not fed any Merrick at our house, but it's worth checking out the other flavors too, and see if can add any into our rotation. There are a fair number of customer reviews on this food if you're looking for other opinions.
Disclaimer: We were provided some food in exchange for an honest review. The opinions expressed here are our own.
