Chewy.com review: Frisco scoopable cat litter #chewyinfluencer

This month's review is of Frisco scoopable cat litter, 40 lb bag.

Litter is an important part of cat ownership. You want something that is affordable, easy to use, and that works well. But the cats must like it too, or all of that is moot.

This litter is very fine in texture.

Our regular litter is Dr. Elsely's Precious Cat. The small container contains that for comparison.  You can see the PC is lighter in color and not as fine as the Frisco.

I put 1/4 c. of water in each litter. The Frisco caught it immediately and made a ball shape. The PC sort of spread out more into a pancake shape.

After about one minute, I scooped each one. Here's the PC.

Here's the Frisco.

The cats did use the box overnight after leaving it. After a day or two of less usage in the "main" box, they are back to using it as normal. After a few days of use, here are the pros and cons:

Pros: Clumps cleanly, doesn't seem to track more despite that it's finer textured, no added scents or fragrances, a good value for the price

Cons: Doesn't control odors as well as the PC we use. Someone had a #2 that smelled for quite a while, though it was covered. It is much dustier than PC so perhaps not a good choice for people with allergies.

Overall, this seems like a decent litter, and the cats seem to like it. I hope the manufacturer can improve the odor control. If that happens it would be something I use regularly.

After trying about a bazillion different litters (well, it feels like a bazillion!), the cats completely prefer the unscented, multiple cat clay litter that we've been using for a decade. I see that you use a Litter Lifter...my favorite too!
