Chewy.com review: Furminator grooming cloths for cats #chewyinfluencer

Our second item of the month is Furminator grooming cloths for cats.

We were intrigued by these cloths.
We've long been fans of the Furminator grooming brush. We bought one years ago and use it regularly on the cats.

I expected these cloths to be similar to a microfiber dusting cloth, but when I opened the box I was perplexed that inside was a sealed package.

The cloths are damp and smaller than I expected. They are thin, sort of similar in texture to a Swiffer dusting cloth, but a damp version.

I first used one on Sadie, and it left her fur slightly damp and flattened.

I stroked her about 12 times with the cloth. There were maybe two strands of fur on the cloth. I didn't take a photo because they were hardly visible.

I then tried the cloth about 12 more times on Ringo. He's an easy-going guy, but didn't like the damp feeling of the cloth and quickly became unhappy with the process. And unfortunately, the cloth did not have any more fur on it.

Unfortunately, these cloths did not work for us. I'm donating the rest of the package to our local shelter. Perhaps they can find a better use for them.

Disclaimer: We were sent one package of cloths in exchange for an honest review. The opinions here are our own.

To end on a more positive note, I wanted to share a great customer service experience we had recently with Chewy. I had ordered four boxes of Slide litter. Unfortunately, the UPS delivery people had some fun with our box, because when it arrived, litter was all over our porch steps and inside of the box.

I emailed Chewy to let them know, and they responded very quickly. I received new litter within a few days. Thanks for the great service!

Sorry it didn't work, it sounded like a good idea.

Thanks for the review! And I too can only say good things about Chewy.com's customer service, although I did NOT tell them about my one broken litter bag. I figured it was my own darn fault...ordering 50 lb. bags and expecting them to arrive all pretty! Now I order 25 lb. bags, which may be a touch more expensive, but neither my back nor the back of the FedEx person get broken! And 25 lbs. is something I can move around the house, like from the front door to the 2nd floor, without too much trouble.

How disappointing! Bear doesn't like being brushed with the Furminator - he loved the slicker brush, but it just didn't get enough fur. When I saw the title of this post, I thought I might have found an alternative - but my cats don't like being rubbed with wet cloth either - and it doesn't even sound effective.

they have slide litter? I could have sworn I looked to see if they did, since I need a ton of it for the move, and couldn't find it. I'll have to go look again
