Lucy: Mom, the view looks different out the backyard. The tree is missing! Where did it go?
Mom: I know, Lucy. Sadly, we had to hire a company to come and remove our ash tree. It had died from emerald ash borer, an invasive bug species.
The backyard does look empty right now, but don't worry. We're still putting out bird feeders and our bird bath to encourage the wildlife to come.
Lucy: I guess that will be ok. Will the birds miss the tree, mom? I know I will.

We had to have a tree taken down too, it is sad. But the birds will come back no worries Lucy!

It's always so sad when a tree has to come down :(
Hope the birds still come around, Lucy. I hope they didn't disconnect the Bird-tv.
Before I came to live here, there was a beautiful tree out back that got some sort of pest and died. My human had to have it removed, and she was very sad about it.
