You might remember that Benny sees an animal opthamologist twice per year. He has cataracts in both eyes and glaucoma in his right eye, requiring two different eye medications.
He had an appointment yesterday, and I was going to bring my camera. Well, I forgot the camera in the rush home from work to the clinic. . .
As usual, Benny was a great patient, even tolerating three exams. Since his eye condition is rather rare, two doctors usually examine him--his regular doctor and either a student doctor or, in this case, a doctor that's newer to the clinic.
The good news is that the growth the doctor saw at the last appointment is most likely not cancer; based on the shape of the growth, it's probably a cyst. The bad news is that it grew larger in size. I was assured that it is not causing him pain or pressure.
Thankfully, things have stabilized with his eyes. I tried to get a photo of his bad eye. He has interesting pigmentation in that eye because of the glaucoma. Benny would not cooperate for a photo, and this is the best that I got:
This is the best you'll get, lady. Give me a break! |

Bailey just ask your Mom how she'd like the flashy box shoved right up to her eye!!
We're glad the check went pretty well, certainly relieved it's not likely to be cancer!
Good that the news is fairly encouraging. And delightfully 'artistic' photo, Benny!
So good news so far, Benny! bad news is the flashy box, eh!!! mol xx
Aw, poor Benny! Purrs and hugs!
Oh boy do I know how hard it is to get a picture of something when a kitty wont cooperate!
Isn't that often the way (forgetting the camera)
I am so happy to hear that it isn't cancer!! Do the doctors think that removing the cyst would be a good idea? I can't even fathom that kind of surgery as anything to do with the eyes just freaks me out to no end..
purrs and kisses for Benny!
Benny, we do not blame you for not wanting your picture taken. Enough is enough!
Awww, Benny, you're still cute as a fuzzy blur.
We is happy to know Benny does not have the cancer. We is purring the cyst does not get any bigger.
