Chewy.com review: Welllness Divine Duos canned food

This month's product is Wellness Divine Duos canned food.

We were sent four cups of the chicken and duck version.

The good:
* It's grain free, no corn, wheat or soy
* A variety of flavors are available

The not-so-good:
* We were disappointed that vegetables were included, especially in visible chunks in the food. Not all cats will eat them.
* Potato starch is an ingredient (perhaps in the gravy part?)
* The container is an odd size at 2.8 ounces. If we fed this regularly, measuring out portions wouldn't be easy. (We base portions on either 3 or 5.5 oz. cans.)

The cups have a plastic top that peel off. When you open it, you get something that looks like this:

I had to use a fork to sort of coax the food out. The bottom is a pate and the top is a chunky food with bits of carrot in a gravy.

The verdict:

All three cats gobbled this up, even our picky Benny. I thought someone would leave the carrot bits behind, but all was eaten. So everyone gives this food a paws up!

I so wish they had left the carrot pieces out too.. They weren't eaten when I fed them to the kittens.. ;) i

I eat everything! But my human does not like veggies in cat food (or potato starch). She prefers to see a high meat protein content and not too much of anything else.

Great review. I may have to try it with my 2 furkits.

We have looked at those but Teri said the veggies would be left behind, just as they are in the Rabbit & Pea (and Carrot!) we eat now...Coco's trainer told Teri that cats are very particular about 'mouth feel' of food, whether it be canned or dry and often won't eat something that they didn't eat as a baby kitten!

We haven't tried these. We're not big on chucky foods, but we may like this if there's also pate.

Glad you did this review because Mom had a can of this in the cabinet and keeps forgetting to give it to us.
