A fleece blanket on the legs helps too.

I'm happy to report that Jules has been doing better since our vet visit. He's eating again without vomiting and overall seems perk...

You try not to get up for as long as you can, but finally you have to get up, and ruin everything!

Looks about right in my part of the world too - the position of the quilt controls the 'neutral zone' or lack thereof.
Fleece solves a BUNCH of world problems!

And it keeps The Mom's leg nice and comfy warm too.
