Chewy review: Tiki Cat Gourmet Carnivore food

This month's Chewy review is Tiki Cat food in their Gourmet Carnivore multipack

This pack has a variety of flavors, some in combinations I hadn't seen before (chicken with duck). We've tried other Tiki food before, and this food is similar in style to that. It's bits of meat with a "gravy" (vs a pate). The one below is Seabass.

The good: Grain free, high quality meat food, no gluten, low glycemic.

The not-so-good: Not all cats like chunky food and will lick the gravy and not eat the food, there are several fish flavors (for those who prefer not to feed fish).

I had mixed results with this food. The fish flavors were gobbled up quickly, but ones I thought would be popular (like the chicken with duck), were picked at. Our Benny prefers pate, and would lick the gravy but leave the meat.

Overall, Sadie gives this food two paws up, and Benny and Ringo one paw each. I like the concept of food for carnivores, which is obviously what cats are.

Sadie says she LOVES the seabass flavor!
Disclaimer: We received one 12-pack of food free of charge in exchange for our honest opinion.

UPDATE: I have located the "lost" cat pin image. You can now view all 68 of my pins.

We're so glad Sadie liked it! We three are pate only (we're so picky that way!)

Ah, the ol' lick the gravy, leave the chunks ploy. Yep, we're guilty of that too. Our mom was pretty smart once or twice though and put a can in the blender... well, not the actual can, the food in the can, and not the blender she uses all the time either but the old one she hasn't given away yet, and you know what? We ate almost the whole thing! Our mom, she can get pretty sneaky from time to time.

We only eat Tiki's poultry flavors and we all like them.

Great review.A lot of mine will just lick the gravy so it wouldn't be worth it. One time I got my cats duck food and they all had upset tummies so now I avoid duck. It was probably just one brand, but I don't want to test it.
