Sometimes I'll grab Sadie and put her on my lap. She often growls for a bit, but rarely ever leaves and settles in for a snooze.

Some kitties are like that - they want attention, but don't let on. My human used to have to chase Boodie around the house so she could catch her and pet her. Then, once she started getting petted, she would get al happy and start purring - weirdo!
