@ chezcat1970 - I think they're safe for cats, as long as you don't block the cats access to the window(s) and don't mind a bit of cat hair accumulating on the leaves. :-)
@ Rene - is that a more pink looking variety?
To all: yes, African violets are on the safe list for cats. Amy: the flowers are burgundy color.
